Why does my nvidia driver stop responding

I have been having problems with this for the past few weeks. It now shows massive artifacts at windows load screen. Ive tried RMA on video card after talking with rep and trying all they asked plus more that ive read on countless forums.

Nothing has worked. The new card has same problems. The PSU came and didnt change anything. It seemed to work well at first, but after running planetside 2 for about minutes it did the same artifacts and system crash.

I've also tried changing registry for TDR, which didn't help either. Now the computer will boot up to the windows load screen, show massive artifacts across entire screen, a bunch of small horizontal green lines all over screen, and then pc will either load into windows but with only default screen super low resolution, device manager shows yelow triangle over the geforce or the screen goes black and doesnt load windows, restarts and goes to safe mode options.

Load into safe mode, uninstall all geforce drivers, restart. Windows loads fine in normal mode and installs standard vga drivers.

I install any version, old or new, of geforce graphics drivers, restart on prompt after installation, and get the same artifacting at windows load screen. The fact that i dont have any problems until i install the geforce drivers tells me its a software issue. What else could it be? Is there some sort of conflict with windows updates and geforce drivers?

I disabled automatcc windows updating and changed setting so that windows doesnt automatically look for and install device drivers.

This didn't help ether. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Ive read countless forums with people facing similar problem but none of the so-called 'fixes' have worked for me. Maybe they sent me a faulty replacement gpu? Hi there, Did somebody found an issue? That's the one thing I didn't try because I'm not going to underclock my card. Nothing worked for me so I contacted MSI explained my issues to tech support and the guy immediately said sounds like the memory went bad, told me to get the RMA process started.

Just did a 10min run with clocks reset to factory values when I got "Nvidia drivers have stopped responding My recommended clocks were: Core: mhz Memory: mhz Shader: mhz My solution was to change them to: Core: mhz Memory: same Shader: mhz Note that I did not change them through BIOS, but with the nvidia device setting tool previously suggested.

Looks like post after post, people are having driver issues. As if someone hacked Nvidia with a virus and they could care less about fixing. My desktop freezes, browser freezes, games freeze I am selling this card, or get money back and moving onto another card. Wagnard said: Buttttt it didn't.

I upgraded to the beta, and since that moment I've been unable to play games, no matter the driver. I even reformatted my HD, reinstalled windows 7, and the problem still won't go away. No matter how many clean installs or internet searches, this problem persists. Two weeks ago gameplay was amazing and I figured the new drivers would maintain that standard of performance. Boy will I never update my driver again once I get this resolved.

It's been 5 days of trying to fix things and not one truly helpful response all responses are appreciated, but ineffective.
