I did discover some poor feedback of the scenic, and Renault in general, when looking online but as people generally post in forums etc when they have problems that may not be very representative.
I think I am going to have to go to a few dealers and take a closer look. Won't be able to test drive but I need to sit in some cars and find out whether I can comfortably get in and out, reach things etc.
Trouble is if you mention motability the first thing they ask is when your car is due for renewal and if I say I am not yet eligible for motability they are probably not going to be that interested in me. I've not taken a close look at the Honda or Yaris Verso but given their positions in the reliability survey maybe they merit a closer look.
Do look at the Renault Scenic though, as a Motability user you won't have anything to worry about especially following the endorsements of those above, Lightouch and Kodiak - Kodiak is constantly raving on about his Scenic In regards to test drives, never tell the salesman you are on Motability until the day when you order. You get treated completely differently when they think you are a cash buyer.
