Lync what is a response group
A checked box indicates that you are signed in to a group. Any time you are going to take calls as a response group agent, you first need to sign in to that response group. To sign in to a formal group, select the Signed in check box next to the group. You are always signed in for informal groups and cannot clear the Signed in check box for those groups.
To answer a routed call, click the incoming call notification on your computer screen. The notification will show you which response group is routing the call. If the caller was given options when first connecting, the conversation window shows group notes along with the instructions the caller heard and the option the caller selected. You can also see how long the caller waited to connect to you.
Instant messages exchanged during an anonymous response group conversation also preserve your anonymity. The instructions to change your Response Group voicemail greeting can be found at this link. With the increased use of Microsoft Teams many organisations are looking to move completely away from their existing Skype for Business Server, or Lync Server deployments and move into Teams-Only mode to fully realise the benefits of a cloud provided communication and collaboration platform. Call Queues are similar to the queues found within Response Groups, they can contain groups of agents or individual agents max 20 who will receive the call. Calls still have the option to leave the queue based on time spent waiting or volume of calls waiting.
With Response Groups both the workflow and queue allowed calls to be forwarded to voicemail, which was usually a dedicated mailbox configured for Unified Messaging.
In Office it is possible to use an Office Group as the destination for the voicemail, rather than licensing a dedicated user account whilst still controlling access to the voicemail.
That answer will depend on the number of workflows present and whether agents are in multiple groups or not. If agents are in multiple call flows a short-term resolution is to simply forward the on-premises number to a temporary Service Number provided by Microsoft and assigned to the call flow until all agents are upgraded to Teams-Only mode. This approach should only be used in the short-term as the call forwarding charges will need to be paid for and depending on the connectivity caller ID may be lost but the advantage is that it allows agents to be migrated and upgraded to Teams-Only mode individually.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support. Response groups are a call management feature that enables you to queue calls that are made to a specific area, such as a Help Desk, and then route the calls to a designated group of people, called agents.
To manage response groups, you configure agent groups, queues, and workflows, which define what happens to a call from the time it is placed until an agent answers it. If you have more than workflows in a single pool in your Response Group deployment, it is better to use Lync Server Management Shell cmdlets to create the workflows. If you use the Response Group Configuration Tool to create workflows for a pool that has more than workflows, the webpage takes a long time to load. The number of agents that are indirectly associated with workflows through the queues also has a proportional effect on page loading.
