Why is tyranitar so good
You had to have 16 badges to get Lavitar. Get out of here. Kids today. Zubz Member. Oct 25, 6, no. Not for the main game. Plus, honestly? Having any pseudo-legend on your team from the early point of the game would just be broken if you don't also box or Wonder Trade your starter right away. I'm sure if they made any of those 7 pseudo-legends available that early, they would run into the same issue. Dude we're probably either at or around the same age Chief Malik Member.

Oct 25, 2, Leveling Dratini is the easiest thing in the world in gen 1 because you catch it and then fed it 70 rare candies and now it's level Dragonite It takes like 2 minutes. That makes your original statement even worse. Those grind struggles can't be compared.

Fair enough but your post just made me remember how much I hated how high level the evolution requirements were in Gen 5. I didn't bother using Pseudo Legendaries in the older games because I felt they were overused by people because of their power.
Gen 2 leveling was horrible. No grinding was worth it. Oct 25, 28, Tyranitar is one of the Pokemon I've been using since Gen 4. I think he's worth it. Smashwidget Member. Jan 3, Smashwidget said:. Zweilous is way cooler than Hydreigon anyways. But yeah Deino evolving so late feels pretty bad. I tried to use one as my starter in Alpha Sapphire but I dropped it once it dawned on me that the poor thing wouldn't evolve until like the 7th badge. Deleted member Banned.
Oct 25, 4, That mofo slayed everything. Flame Lord Member. Oct 26, 1, Funny you ask since I recently went through Leaf Green and Soul Silver and tried at getting both of those. I gave up on Dragonite for the same reasons you listed, but SS allows you to get Larvitar rather early so I did get that, and unlike Dragonite it's forms before Tyranitar weren't ass.
I did read though that in the original Gen 2 games that you could only get a Larvitar at Mt. Silver, which at that point it'd be fucking useless, which I guess explain why I don't remember ever having one back then. RadioJoNES said:. WrenchNinja said:. Also they suck because of Hustle.
Nov 1, 2, It was. Tyranitar was so fucking OP. Pein Member. Oct 25, 6, NYC. I mean probably not but dragonite and tyrannitar are absolutely cool so I always want them.
JCW Member. Oct 26, Admittedly you need coins but by that point you have shitloads of money so it's okay. CormoranStrike said:. Its destructive instincts are the only thing keeping it moving.

Type Rock Dark. Part 2 S11 Episode Mother of All Battles S5 Episode Like Dragonite, he is primarily an attacker. Aside from being double weak to fighting, it is weak to water and water resists a lot of its moves. Everyone probably has at least one good Vaporeon powered up at this point. Both Tyranitar and Dragonite are weak defenders in the sense that both can be slaugthered by their counters, the difference is that Figthing types are more common than Ice types, and the fact that back when we needed counters to Dragonite we still need them btw , the game was much younger and we had less time to get those rare ice types, and now we have had longer to get those more common figthing types, so it's much less of a big deal.
Regardless of this, both of them are first and foremost attackers, and they are excellent at doing that job. Machamp and Heracross are really good attackers that you'll use against a lot of defenders, such as Blissey, Snorlax, and Rhydon.
